Help Save Lake Mead and the Colorado River
The Issue
Who We Are
We are a forming 501-c3 dedicated to helping save Lake Mead and water resources in Nevada, named AtmoGen.
For more than 20 years, the Lake Mead Reservoir has been running dry due to a few different factors such as the continued growth of the population, continued construction, waste, and a lack of utilizing old and new technology to replace water that is lost.
Letters have been sent to local and federal senate members with no reply. In addition, the Southern Nevada Water Authority and local government have been contacted with no reply.
Technologies such as rain harvesting, atmospheric water generation, greywater filtering, and recycling could help bring the levels back to a comfortable level, maintain the water level, and create a new industry for the state.
Outside of being a water source for the state, it has historical value for the region. Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in America and was created by the construction of the Hoover Dam which was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression
If we can make this change, tax dollars will not be used for this project. As a nonprofit organization, all funds and services would come from supporters and donations.
If you support Nevada looking into alternative methods for saving Lake Mead, please sign this petition.
Thank you,
Phillip Fitzlaff, MBA
