Have you or a loved one been a victim of DOTS? Did you have to stay on hold on the phone for hours? Did UMD DOTS give you a ticket for an absurd price? Are you a victim of disrespect from the DOTS staff? If you understand the pain that has been endured by receiving a parking citation then please sign the following petition to urge UMD admin to reform the system in which students are constantly suffering. 

With each signature we are urging UMD admins to revaluate DOTS policies and realize the immense obstacles they place on students everyday. Each day as I park on campus, I see DOTS officers handing out tickets left and right. While the parking permit alone is expensive, issuing tickets as often as they do is truly inhumane. Many of us are working college students who are merely trying to get by without the never-ending fees of DOTS. For years, students have been affected by DOTS and it is time that UMD reevaluate the severe effects of these practices. 

College students who are already payed hundreds of dollars in parking permit fees should not have to face the burden of paying tickets daily for outrageous prices. 

The photo above shows the number of people who have had inhumane interactions with DOTS here at UMD. Read more reviews on Google to see that this is not a small percent of commuters but rather the majority facing these issues. Reviews explain that "Their only purpose is to screw over students who already pay more than they should on campus". Another review says, "the parking services are the worst, cruel, heartless system that makes you jump through moving rings with fire so when you fail they can write you a ticket".
