Taira has lost her appeal at the district appeals court level. Obviously we do not agree with this decision. The court said that her lawyer made errors but said that they would not have affected the outcome. We obviously think that her lawyer made errors so egregious that it would have affected the outcome. We are heartbroken but are not giving up. We will fight until every appeal option has been exhausted and we have attempted possible commutation as well. She could use all the support she can get emotionally, spiritually, financially and any other way she can get it. Taira has been made to suffer for far too long as an adult as well as when she was a child.
