For 2 years, upwards of 400 students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maryland worked diligently to design and create the stunning, sustainable, & solar powered house named reACT. reACT  [resilient Adaptive Climate Technology]  fosters the most innovative and eco-friendly technologies at the forefront of the industry and collegiate world! reACT won second place globally and first in the nation at the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon competition in 2017!  

Unfortunately, the house was only set up for 10 days during the competition which took place October 2017 in Denver, Colorado. The house itself is currently sitting off campus in storage, along with all of its innovative designs packed up in boxes. Once set up, reACT will be a 'Living Laboratory' where students can get involved to further the development of these sustainable housing technologies. The sooner we can get this house rebuilt the better, so that students can showcase our hard work, and continue research on these sustainable technologies that have the power to change the world for the better! 

We ask for your support with your signature for this great cause, so that we can encourage the Student Facilities Fund Committee to fully approve our Facilities Fund proposal for the temporary re-establishment of our award-winning project reACT.
