Help put 838 on static disply.

The Issue

UP 838, a steam engine, a northern 4-8-4, is one of UP 844's sister locomotives. Built in December 1944 Same as 844. However UP 838 is now a source of parts for 844 so UP 838 is now slowly getting scrapped as sacrifice for UP 844. No such engine deserved a cruel fate.

Even if the parts are being used for the living legend. It is a shame that the once majestic engine now lives in a junkyard, slowly being picked apart. The metallic giants once ruled the tracks, but now they're just shells of their former selves, providing life support to the last of their kind.

By signing this, we can help get 838 and probably put it on static display at the Oklahoma railway museum or any other railway museum willing to take the engine in, and put it on long-term static display.

We will have plenty of time to act on this.
The decision to save UP 838 from its current fate is a pressing one. If the scavenging continues unchecked, there will soon be nothing left to preserve of this once-great locomotive. The thought of it being reduced to a mere pile of spare parts is a tragedy for railway enthusiasts and historians alike

The museums have plenty of steam engines on display, and 838 can be one of them. I mean, 838 needs a bit of restoration love, and we can get 838 on the rails. Even if she gets torn apart, we can restore her.
