Are you concerned about the proposed Corio Bay Miniature Railway at Haines Reserve?

Haines Reserve is an important local green space, including an established off-leash dog park used by residents and their families.

We are concerned about the potential impacts of the proposed railway, including:

🐕 The impact on the existing off-leash dog park.

🔊 Additional noise and disruption for nearby residents.

🚗 Increased traffic and parking pressure on surrounding streets.

🌳 The loss of existing recreational space and changes to the character of the reserve.

🏡 Whether this is an appropriate location for such a development in an established residential neighbourhood.

We believe Haines Reserve should remain a welcoming, accessible public space for the wider community, and that alternative locations should be properly considered.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

✅ 1. Sign the petition opposing the proposed railway at Haines Reserve.

✅ 2. Contact Geelong Council and ask Council to reconsider the location and investigate alternatives.

✅ 3. Email our local representatives and explain how the proposal could affect you, your family and your use of the reserve.

Individual emails matter. Tell them why Haines Reserve is important to you and why you believe this proposal should be reconsidered.
