Many of you have heard the terrible story of “ Wang Wang” the Chinese rural dog who was brutally tortured as she tried to protect her puppies by kids in Southern China. It was horrific and has touched so many people who did not know of such cruelty before and are now demanding change.
Sadly this case is not new for us. Our team in China have witnessed many instances of dogs dismembered, burnt and boiled alive and we have many we succeeded to rescue in our shelter in Hebei.
Mocha who is blind now was in a pitiful condition when we rescued her. She had been badly beaten and one eye completely gouged out by youths and then thrown in the garbage still alive and scooped up to be sold for food. Yes you heard that right. Torturing her was not enough people were still ready to eat her.
It took us many months of care to heal her wounds and many years to find her a loving home but a few months ago a miracle happened. She arrived in the UK and now lives with Michael near Manchester UK.
Next weekend he will attend the Justice for Wang Wang protest and bring her along. Our other volunteer Berni will speak at the event. If you can also make it come down. Let’s join together to bring change for the defenceless dogs and cats.
Our charity has recently placed an official report to the UN ( 400 pages) outlining the ongoing cruelty with evidence. We won’t give up until the cruelty ends.
