********
It’s very important that community member REGISTER to speak virtually  and/or submit something in writing so that the community’s concerns are documented on official public record.  As we all know, Councillor John Filion has made many unethical and desperate attempts with his friends in media and using taxpayer money to mischaracterize and dismiss the concerns of our community. The community that he is paid to represent and serve. Filion insists that we are are just an angry small group of NIMBYS spreading lies....but we know that thousands of directly affected residents and six community organizations have officially stated their opposition to this proposal which violates the rights and hurts hundreds of vulnerable low income seniors who reside on this property. Seniors who are in the care of the very City who has abandoned and ignored them and their families and friends and pretended they don't exist. The same City who has a duty to protect them and their amenities.

The project has NOT been approved by the Provincial government (no MZO has been granted thanks to MPP Stan Cho, who has heard and stood behind the community's concerns), but John Filion and the City City is  stubbornly ignoring everyone and pushing forward  anyway, refusing to consider alternative locations. The City and Filion insist on taking this valuable green open treed space from the seniors of Willowdale Manor and our community.

Your submission is critical because we will be using all of these submissions as part of our community's joint appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal. EVERY SUBMISSION COUNTS so please tell your neighbours and friends and family to submit too. It only takes a few minutes.

Don't let John Filion and the City take your voices away, don't let them ignore democracy!

P.S.
