We have a new player in the Insurance strata market in North Qld. Brooklyn Underwriters have announced they’re entering the market for strata properties up to 25 units above the 26th parallel. These are properties which are unable to get ISR (Industry Special Risk) policies. Please see their website : http://www.brooklynunderwriting.com.au/ where you will find “Tropical Strata” available. I understand Brooklyn work with Vero, Allianz, and LLoyds of London and will be undertaking proper risk assessment and not risk assumption.
