Taking the total premiums for only 10 Unit Blocks in the Whitsundays:- In 2010/11 The premiums totaled $384,000 In 2011/12 The premiums totaled $1,055,000 A cash in pocket to the Insurance Companies of $671,000 per annum at current rates for ONLY 10 BUIDINGS. I can't multiply this out by all the units in Central and North QLD but just think about it!! They may have recouped all their losses in 1 year alone from strata increases.
