'my head is empty''s catalog of over 800 songs - 124 of which, they wrote and recorded immediately after and about the diagnosis of their brain disease (Multiple Sclerosis), is currently controlled by 'Kurate' or 'dreamscape', a label that has not promoted or supported this body of work, as proven in the Google Drive of screenshots and information collected over years of interaction with various staff at this label, all of which show in the link at the bottom of the petition.
These songs represent their struggle with health, their life, their resilience, and their connection to millions of people around the world, showing so many of us how to be strong in the face of tremendous hardship.

We demand, it is time for 'my head is empty' to regain the rights to the music they created, not only to help themselves; but to ensure the safety of their wife, and future legacy (more on this later)...

For years, 'my head is empty' has built their career independently - without industry backing, without paid campaigns, without buying fake "user generated content" for their posts, like the label "dreamscape" does, referring to the method as "pushing", to manipulate social media algorithms into thinking the music they sign is popular, and in turn, wrongfully recommending it to users.

Everything they have achieved has come from authenticity and the organic support of listeners who found comfort, identity, and healing in their work, along side countless viral trends built upon the sound and emotions conveyed in the music they write.

Despite this, all of their most popular work remains locked away under contracts, written by people that never had any intention to help 'my head is empty' make the difference they wanted to; only to sit back and quietly collect money from the passion and love 'my head is empty' couldn't help but put into everything they make.

Meanwhile, 'my head is empty' has:

• Reached 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and maintained this for years
• Grown a massive independent audience across platforms
• Released music independently before AND after involvement with 'Dreamscape' that has landed on Spotify Editorial Playlists, trends on social media, and spreads globally
• Secured sync opportunities for films such as "Terrifier 3" and an upcoming television program without any involvement from the label (more on this later). 

All of this has happened because of their own effort, not because of the label holding their catalog.

And yet, the songs they created locked under contract - songs with enormous emotional and cultural impact; remain inaccessible to them.

🧠 Why This Matters

This isn’t about business, or money. 
As so many of you know from years of 'my head is empty' attempting to respond to every comment on their ever growing YouTube channel; music is about bringing people together and showing us that we all feel the same way inside.

This situation is about fairness, dignity, and an artist’s right to control their own legacy. 'my head is empty' wanted to bring an incredibly vulnerable statement to this petition, that we will share now...

"hello my friends. if it wasn't clear by now, this was never about money. to cut right to the chase, Miranda and i, my wife, would want nothing more than to support children one day. with my brain disease, and my wife's health issues - the idea of us bringing children into this world who may share the same health issues is terrifying, and paralyzing. our own health issues could end up costing us everything. we confidently know that owning the full rights to my 124 songs would position us to be able to start a family, and regardless of what health issues our children may, god forbid, have... with my health and my wife's also unsure, we would want to makes sure that our children and our family would always be secure. we only want you all to know, that just you listening to our music is truly more than enough support. and that's why i must regain the rights to my music, not only to be free from the stress a label owning my music, i never in my right mind would of agreed to sign over, (only in my darkest hours freshly diagnosed with MS) but to be able to take care of my wife and myself as long as we live, and to be able to confidently bring children into this world, to pass the torch."

'my head is empty' lives with MS (as stated numerous times), a condition endlessly and progressively damages their vision, mobility, and long‑term health. What started as a way to move on from difficult emotions, the loss of the lives of loved ones and friends, Music stopped being just their passion - and miraculously became their livelihood,  stability, and way of preparing for an uncertain future, thanks to the connection it has made to millions of people.

With their health so poor now and only getting worse, to the point where transitioning from bed to their music chair makes them nearly blind, 'my head is empty' is in a place with their health where normal work is beyond the realm of ability. Being able to make music for a living has gone from a blessing, to their only hope, maintained by millions of people around the world just from listening.

Allowing them to reclaim their catalog would give them:

• The ability to support themselves and wife, and support children confidently
• The freedom to manage their entire catalog of music independently
• The security to face unpredictable health challenges
• The chance to preserve their legacy on their own terms

No artist should have their life’s work held in limbo, especially when they have proven their ability to connect with listeners independently for years.

Øneheart approached 'my head is empty' at their lowest, when they first announced their brain disease, convincing them to begin writing music for 'Kurate / dreamscape', and later attempted to have 'my head is empty' write music for him (all proven in the link below). In this vulnerable state, 'my head is empty' believed not in their music at the time, but a carrot that 'Kurate' dangled in front of them in a time of extreme weakness. Only to find out, that all along, 'my head is empty''s music would go viral all on it's own, with no promotion from 'dreamscape'. (Confirmed below in the Google Drive).

Your signature is a message that art belongs to the artist, and that manipulating an artist who had just announced the discovery of their brain disease is not only wrong, but immoral.

'my head is empty''s music should not belong to a label that refuses to nurture it, and most importantly, protect the very reason music is created in the first place. Never for money, but to heal others and allow the artist behind it to provide for themself, and their family. If they truly cared about pushing music that "helps you escape", as stated on their own SoundCloud bio, they would know that my 'head is empty''s music always has and always will do that without their involvement.

'my head is empty' has given us music that has carried us through heartbreak, illness, loneliness, and growth.
They have shown up for their listeners with honesty and vulnerability, and transparency, giving so many of us the courage to open up as well.

We ask that 'Kurate' ask themselves, in their whole heart, after everything you have just read, and everything 'my head is empty' has brought into this world... Who could choose private financial gain, over doing what is best for this artist, and their wife with both of their life long chronic conditions, and disabilities. On this day we ask that human decency prevail, and greed fall to the wayside.

Refusal to grant the wishes of all of us here, is confirmation that profits are more important than the life, legacy, and wishes of 'my head is empty''s direct family, friends, and supporters world-wide.

'Kurate' has made it abundantly clear, the success of their release "snowfall", with over a billion stream on Spotify alone, and millions of videos on all platforms, that they do not need anything from 'my head is empty', but they only gain from 'my head is empty'. (Another example, 'my head is empty' securing music in the film "Terrifier 3" entirely on their own, only for 'dreamscape' to demand themselves to be credited in the film, and positions the placement like an accolade they are responsible for on their social media pages.)

We believe 'my head is empty' deserves the right to reclaim the music they created - for their future, their family to be (God willing), and the legacy they will leave behind.
We refuse to let their legacy be one of label manipulation and control. We want to give 'my head is empty' back what they have given all of us. Hope.
