Help Mr. Collins Keep His Job!!
The Issue
Dear Students and Staff of Sumner Academy,
I am writing to you as a concerned student who deeply values the presence and dedication of one of our most cherished school administrators, Mr. Al Collins. He is currently facing the possibility of losing his job, and I want to express my strong support for him staying with us.
In the time, Mr. Collins has been at Sumner Academy, he has become so much more than just an administrator, he has become a guiding light for many students. His impact goes far beyond the office walls. Thanks to his tireless efforts, countless juniors and seniors have not only learned what it takes to get to college but have also successfully applied for and received scholarships that will change their lives. He has opened doors and created opportunities for students who might otherwise have felt lost or overwhelmed by the college application process.
Mr. Collins is more than a resource; he is a mentor and a friend. His office is a haven where students feel seen, heard, and supported no matter their background or struggles. Whether it’s academic challenges or personal hardships, he is always there to listen and guide with compassion and understanding. Beyond his administrative role, he also coaches basketball, connecting with students in ways that build confidence, teamwork, and school spirit.
Losing Mr. Collins would be a tremendous loss for Sumner Academy. In his time here, he has made a profound difference in the lives of so many students and staff members. His commitment, kindness, and unwavering support have become an integral part of what makes our school community special.
I ask everyone to please take a moment to sign the petition to help Coach Collins keep his position. Share this message widely among friends, family, and community members. Together, we can ensure that Mr. Collins remains here to continue inspiring, supporting, and uplifting the students who need him most.
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
