Help move Punch the Monkey to a reputable sanctuary

Help move Punch the Monkey to a reputable sanctuary
The Issue
Punch the Monkey deserves a life that prioritizes his safety, well-being, and mental health. Currently residing in a facility that lacks the proper resources to care for primates (although it is clear they care and are trying), Punch's current living conditions compromise his health and happiness. It is imperative that he be transferred to a reputable, accredited sanctuary where further trained experts can provide him the care and environment he truly deserves. Or, have his and the other monkey's he lives with, environment and space improved.
Punch has been confined in a small, concrete facility that is ill-equipped to cater to the complex needs of primates who are not being accepted by the others. Reports and observations of inadequate green space and safety the urgent need for Punch to be relocated or his space at the zoo improved. Accredited sanctuaries provide environments that mimic the natural habitat of primates, with wide spaces to explore, supervised social interaction with other primates, and diet plans tailored to their species-specific needs. Punch deserves this level of care to flourish.
Studies have shown that primates like Punch require not just physical health support, but also mental enrichment to thrive. The current facility, unfortunately, cannot meet these requirements as it currently stands. By relocating Punch to a well-established sanctuary, or working with the zoo to give Punch and the other monkeys the environment they deserve, while continuing to prove them care they might not get in the wild and respectful education for people, we can ensure that he receives enrichment activities and proper veterinary care that are essential for his mental and physical health.
Several accredited sanctuaries across the country are equipped to offer such facilities and have an outstanding reputation for their work with primates. Such as: Arashiyama MonkeyPark and The Jigokudani Yaen-koen Monkey Park (more to be added to the list to consider soon). We should come together to figure out which one would be the best, safest environment for Punch. Or, if it is possible to fundraise and get them a better space at the zoo.
We urge the authorities and the management of the current facility, Ichikawa City Zoo, to prioritize Punch's welfare over convenience and financial gain and tourist attraction. The transition to a sanctuary trained in the care of primates or a complete overhaul and reconstruction of the zoo grounds would not only extend Punch's life expectancy, but significantly improve his quality of life. We have a moral obligation to ensure that animals in captivity are provided with the best possible care and living conditions.
