Hello Im BabyJo.  My 18 year old daughter had a vision before she died almost 3 years ago on 10/07/20. October will mark her 3 years.   Her vision was to help the Unshelteted Community. My son who is also now my forever 18 also had this vision.  I lost my boy at 18 also on April 12, 2022. Almost 18 months ago.  As I myself am part of this unsheltered community I too want to help.
Here it is middle of Summer 2024, scorching hot days and so many are still out here in the elements, and sadly still our Unshelteted population is on the rise.  Salt Lake City has and is still continuously doing what they call Camp Abatements.  They take their bulldozers and mean people and run every one out of their camps.  Our state's shelters are currently full or are operating beyond capacity.  The Road Home served as many people by May of 2016 as it had the entire previous year of 2015.

Yet the City has no plan in place for the hundreds of homeless who currently live out in their tents, or the many families who are camping or living in their cars, motor homes and trailers. Seems as if the plan us to just push us away. 

I personally and my both my kids had a dream, a vision of sorts.   That dream is to build a trailer court with full amenities and a common area. Free to live there, just gotta do your part n help out. Keep your area free and clear of garbage, Ect. And pay it forward, if you get on your feet, keep your stuff decent and pass your tent or RV along to another in need.  But yet no one wants to help us,  because well, its for the Unshelteted.  And needing funds is kinda rough.  So please help my my kids' last wish come true. Help me help them help us.

All of the People and families that live in campers and motor homes and even tents.  We are all people too.  Just like all other humanity we need somewhere to call home to.  We're not all out here because we're bums.   There are many that can't work, don't qualify for assistance so here we are.  Yes it can look dumpy on the side of some back road filled with campers,  but we're getting run off everywhere.  We get harassment from everyone.   Being told to pack up and move, or risk losing our trailers to impoundment.  Or our tents and belongings being thrown away or destroyed by bulldozer people. So here your already struggling, let's make it better by taking everything you own.  Please we are all in this life together, trying to survive.  So help give us a hand up not a hand out.   Help us get some land or property or something for us to park and stay or put up tents. We're not all as bad as everyone thinks.  We just want somewhere to call home too.
