Help Keep Gelsoft / Gel Blasting Legal in QLD
The issue
With the quick implication of stricter regulations on gel blasting as a sport and business, Queensland is quickly becoming yet another victim to the death of this hobby.
With the very unfortunate closure of our dearly loved Nuketown Field in Pimpama, fears are growing. Not to mention, the weakening of Donnybrook Gel ballers is at a concerning high. Particularly, the councils attack’s on large and important games forcing this family owned field to cancel. These tickets are to help raise funds to help comply with the Moreton bay council and without them they may stand no chance. As a community we must come together to support our local and often family owned businesses from being shut down. We are the last state to have enough freedom to continue this sport, however time is running out.
As a start, you can:
- Support Donnybrook at this link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/donnybrook-gel-ballers-queensland/cl/s?utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_content=amp20_t1&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&lang=en_AU
- Join Nuketown’s soon to be released petition
- and, advocate towards your local Mp and councillor in a respectful manner.
Gelsoft isn’t just a game. It’s our passion, our sport, our hobby, our time with family and friends, and our connections to new people. On top of it all, it is even our introduction to safe weapon handling. For our Veterans, this is a way for them to continue their story and pass it down for generations. As for our current military personnel, this is their way to connect and put their training to practice.
Overall, it is inclusive to all ages and backgrounds and is just fun, why should we let them take it away?
Our communities are suffering. Please continue to support your local field and safely store your gel blasters under the guidelines and regulations. We cannot afford to take anymore hits.
It is up to you to save the field.
