Urgent Public Petition Against the Parole of Hamidullah Rashid Abdullah (TDCJ #02367926, State ID #50292580)

Dear Fellow Citizens,

Today, I stand before you, not just as an individual but as mother, daughter, friend, business owner and member of the community. This letter is an urgent plea, a collective cry for help, and a call to action. We are faced with a decision that could irrevocably alter the fabric of our lives: the potential early release of Hamidullah Rashid Abdullah, identified by TDCJ #02367926 and State ID #50292580. This is not just a matter of justice; it's about safeguarding our community from a danger that is all too real and present.

This man whom I may know better than anyone else who has ever met him, is an EXTREME DANGER to me, my children, my elderly mother, any blood relatives I have, my closest friends and their young children, police officers,
teachers, public service workers, any random person that he may feel like is in his way and to himself. He has made thousands of threats against all the above-mentioned people. Some of which are quite graphic and grotesque.

He has threatened to kill me so many times it makes me sick to my stomach
thinking about it. I am in tears as I write this petition explaining why the state of Texas should not release this psychopathic monster who has very clearly said that he “knows he is being recorded and that its okay he will be out of jail one day...” so please bear with me as I try to make this as coherent as possible.

As the date nears of his second parole evaluation it is sinking in that due to the failure of the state to pursue all relevant charges and give him the sentencing he deserved, that I may never find peace. The thought always looming over my head;

Will this be the time they let him go?

Will this be the year I have to run and further hide myself and my children?

Will this be the year we die at his hands?

The year he bashes in the skulls of or guts one of children he has threatened?

This “burglary of habitation with intent” that the DA cut a deal on to ease their own work load is much more than that. I would like you to know all of the crimes I submitted proof of that he was never
charged with;

Attempted Murder
Animal Cruelty (He strangled my 7 year old dog who had cancer, to death)
Rape
2 Stalking Cases
2 Terroristic Threats Cases
1 Felony Violation of a no contact order
1 Felony Violation of a lifetime protective order
Domestic Violence
Harassment

I disagreed with the states decision to make a deal and begged to take it to trial. I have hundreds of recordings of his threats and him admitting to doing all of these things which I submitted and to my understanding were never even listened to.

He also has an extensive criminal background including:

Terroristic Threats
Cyberstalking
Assault of a police officer
Assault

The threat he poses is compounded by his background as a professional fighter. This training has not only honed his ability to cause physical harm but has also turned him into a living weapon. His physical strength and combat skills mean that he does not need a traditional weapon to be lethal; his own body and knowledge serve this purpose. The danger he represents is not just theoretical; it is a proven reality, evidenced by his history of violence.

The Trauma of Reliving the Terror For me, and for many others, the thought of his release is not just a concern; it is a trigger that brings back a flood of traumatic memories. It forces us to relive the terror that we have experienced at his hands. His threats, both graphic and grotesque, have been directed not only at me but also at my children, my elderly mother, and my closest friends. These threats have extended to their young, innocent children, creating an atmosphere of constant fear and anxiety for us all. The emotional and psychological toll of living under such a threat is immense, and the potential of his release brings these fears back to the forefront, threatening to plunge us back into a state of perpetual terror.

The fears we harbor are not unfounded; they are grounded in a harsh reality supported by statistics. Studies have shown that individuals with a history of violent domestic abuse have high rates of recidivism. The likelihood of Abdullah reoffending and causing further harm is not just a possibility; it is an extremely likely to happen statistical probability, making his potential release a pending disaster waiting to unfold.

A personal account my experience with the legal system in this case has been a journey filled with disappointment and frustration. Despite providing hundreds of recordings of his threats and him admitting to his actions, it feels as though these pieces of evidence have fallen on deaf ears.

The decision to cut a deal on the burglary charge, rather than pursuing the full extent of his crimes, was a decision that I believe was gravely mistaken. It was a decision that prioritized ease over justice, a decision that has left me and many others feeling vulnerable and let down by the very system meant to protect us.

The journey I have been on is one marked by fear, but also by courage. In the face of his threats and violence, I have stood strong, not just for myself but for my children and for all those he has threatened. I have faced the unimaginable terror of his actions, the sleepless nights, the constant anxiety, and the overwhelming fear for the safety of those I love. And now, I stand before you, asking for your support, not just as a victim but as a survivor who is fighting for the safety of our community.

This petition is more than a personal appeal; it is a plea from a community that values safety, peace, and justice. Releasing him back into society poses an unacceptable risk, not just to his direct victims but to everyone he may come across. We implore you to consider the severity of his crimes, the expert level of his combat training, and the emotional and psychological damage he has inflicted.

We ask for your support in ensuring that he serves the full extent of his 20 year sentence that he is already up for parole for. This is not just about retribution; it is about preventing further harm, about protecting potential victims, and about maintaining the sanctity of our community. Your voice in this matter can make a difference. It can send a message that our community stands together against violence, that we value the safety of our citizens, and that we believe in the power of justice.

In closing, I urge each one of you to stand with us in this fight. To stand against the early release of a man who represents a clear and present danger to our society. To stand for the safety of every person who calls this community home. To every child and adult he has threatened or caused irreversible harm to.

Your signature, your support, can be the difference between a community living in fear and a community standing strong in the face of adversity.

With deepest respect and urgency,

Ashley Richard
