As a concerned parent and a member of a diverse community, I am compelled to speak up about the distressing experiences many have faced with the virtual game Heartopia. This is deeply personal for me, not just as a mother of a biracial child, but also as a Native American and a woman from a culturally rich background. Heartopia promised an inclusive and fun environment but it has failed drastically, revealing underlying racism that has alarmed many players.

Numerous users have encountered serious issues, such as being banned or muted solely for voicing legitimate concerns and criticisms. The company's so-called "apology" fell flat, lacking sincerity and the essential commitment to diversity the community deserves. Unfortunately, instead of addressing these issues, Heartopia continues to unjustly silence voices and ignore calls for necessary change.

Many players, including myself, have invested time and money into Heartopia, trusting that it would be a safe space for everyone. However, the constant neglect to resolve and acknowledge these critical problems makes it imperative that those who decide to leave receive full refunds. It's not unreasonable to ask to be compensated when a platform reneges on its values and makes users feel unwelcome.

The experiences of being ignored or silenced can be damaging, especially in a space that's meant to foster creativity and inclusion. My family and others have felt disenfranchised due to the ineffective response to racism and suppression within Heartopia. We trusted this community but have been left disappointed and disillusioned.
