Sebastian Alweyn (Seb) is a 17 year old West Gippsland, Victorian teenager, currently fighting Lymphoma. Seb was diagnosed 15 months after his dad's death, who himself lost his fight against cancer. Seb was approached by Make a Wish Foundation for his ‘wish’. Seb being the unselfish person he is, asked for a community wish instead of a singular wish. Unfortunately Make a Wish is unable to help him see his dream turn into reality.

Therefore we need YOUR help. Please sign the petition that will be submitted to the BAW BAW Shire local council May 2022. The more community backing, the greater the chance for Seb's dream to come true.

Seb’s Dream

Seb has identified that there is nowhere in the Baw Baw Shire for kids who are not associated with a basketball team to hang out and play a friendly game. Furthermore there is no where for kids to shoot some hoops or practise without having to either fight for court time or pay to play. Seb’s dream is to have outside courts with a roof, so kids can play in any weather. Ideally with timing lights for court visibility.

He would love to see it central to the Warragul community in which he is part of. He has identified Burke street sports precinct in Warragul, Victoria, to be the ideal, safe location. At this precinct, families gather for bbq's, use the playground and skate park and utilise the running track. The basketball stadium is across the road and netball courts down the street. Parents will be able to relax, whilst their kids have fun. Thank you for your time and please circulate the petition among your friends and family.
