Help Free SticksHft From Unjust Incarceration on Wikipedia
The Issue
To all readers,
A good friend of mine named SticksHft registered for a Wikipedia account on October 20th of 2025. Less than two days later, be was blocked indefinitely from writing or editing anything on Wikipedia.
All Sticks was trying to do was spread the holy belief of his church, the United Church of Stickism. The church believes that sticks, branches and twigs are sentient beings that have complicated feelings and should be treated with respect and care.
His first article was supposed to document the church's existence and inform others of it's whereabouts and beliefs. It was written officially and without bias. He submitted the article twice for review and publishing, but the draft was deleted and marked as vandalism.
In his second draft, Sticks clarified that some would consider the religion to be a hoax and untrue. However, even with this disclaimer, the article was deleted and flagged again, this time with Sticks being blocked (the Wikipedia term for banned) from editing or writing anything on the platform.
On February 24th, over four months after he was banned, Sticks submitted an appeal request to Wikipedia moderators asking for forgiveness and stating that he would never do something similar again. Unfortunately, Wikipedia denied his request, stating that his account was being used "only for vandalism" and he would have to go through an extensive process of editing flawed articles on his talk page.
We believe that you - YES YOU - can persuade Wikipedia moderators to free SticksHft and let him browse and edit freely due to his stance as a changed man who will not commit these acts of "vandalism" anymore.
If you or anyone you know is interested in joining the United Church of Stickism, please let me know through this page or let Sticks know through his Wikipedia talk page.
Please sign if you support the first amendment, freedom of religion and anti-unjust incarceration, even on Wikipedia. And remember,
"STICKS HAVE FEELINGS TOO!"
