On April 13, 2026, a beloved father and friend, Ivan Jakus, disappeared without a trace. Ivan, a 75-year-old man living with dementia, was last seen on CCTV footage at approximately 12:45 am crossing Bringelly Road in Bringelly, NSW. Since that night, there has been no confirmed sighting of him. More than seven agonizing weeks have passed, and despite extensive searching, there have been no answers, no leads, and no clues as to what happened.

Ivan resided in an aged care facility and had spent the evening at the Croatian Club on Old Cowpasture Road before his disappearance. Witnesses reported seeing him walking alone in the darkness, and CCTV captured his last known movements. After that, Ivan simply vanished.

His family and friends are living through unimaginable pain, desperately searching for answers while fearing for his safety. Every day that passes without information only deepens the heartbreak and uncertainty.

We are calling on MEDIA to help us share the face on this man.

We need the news media to keep Ivan's story in the public eye. Public awareness can make all the difference in missing person cases. Someone may have seen Ivan, picked him up, offered assistance, or noticed something unusual that seemed insignificant at the time.

Right now, there are more questions than answers. Did Ivan continue walking and travel further than expected? Did he get into a car? A truck? Is it possible he travelled interstate? The truth is, we simply do not know. The unknown is what makes this so distressing for those who love him.
