Firstly, heed the warning at the top, do not sign up for a tracker tariff. Please read the first article above to explain why tracker tariffs will cost far more over the next year than the £1,700 per year fixed rate tariffs that are available. It also discusses the latest price cap prediction for summer - an 11% increase up to £1,827!

At the start of the Russia Ukraine conflict, we saw the price cap jump to £4,279 and the government had to step in and pay half of our energy bills! I give more of an explanation in the article in the second link, but it is really really important - if you're on a variable tariff please move to a fixed one! Even if bills only rise a little, fixing your energy deal protects you! Third link above takes you to Uswitch to compare best prices for you. 

Best case scenario: you could end up literally saving thousands of pounds on your energy bills.
Worst case scenario: you're still saving around £100 on your energy bills! It's a win-win.
