Get £340 energy price cut - new petition and cheap tariff

Hey everyone, 

Petition: Give us back our £4bn Ofgem!

Switch and save: Cut your energy bills by over £200!

I started a new petition to get Ofgem to give us £130 off of the energy price cap. Citizen's Advice ran an investigation and it turns out that Ofgem had a faulty formula over the last few years which gave network companies around £4bn more profit than they were meant to. Network costs are paid through standing charges, and £4bn is equal to roughly £130 per household, so I'm calling on Ofgem to pay us back the money. This isn't unheard of, they made us page £149 each to energy suppliers during the peak of the crisis because they were underpaid, so I think it should work both ways. Also, there is a British Gas tariff exclusively with Uswitch which is apparently closing tonight at midnight. It's £210 cheaper than the price cap will be on 1 April, so it's definitely worth looking at if you're on a Default or Standard tariff.
