**The video link I've sent you isn't working just yet. For some reason my internet is running extremely slow and the video has been uploading to youtube for 2 hours and still has 2.5 hours to go, so if you'd like to watch it please try that link later tonight or in the morning.**

Hi everyone,

As a second part to the standing charges consultation work I'm doing, I've written a letter to the Director General, Markets at Ofgem asking for explanation of a comment made around in the Ofgem document where they imply that moving network costs from standing charges to unit rates could lead to some diabetics turning their fridge for a month and damaging their insulin, which would obviously be detrimental to their health.

The comment seemed obscene to me and after some research i discovered a severe lack of evidence that this has ever happened and ever would happen. The letter explains it more clearly than I am here, and the video above is a little explanation of the letter I've sent.

The video also briefly discusses what we should expect on Thursday and the fact that I'll be doing another video to give you guys information on the announcements from Ofgem on Thursday this week.

Finally, I've also included a link to the energy customer services survey we're running. I've decided to keep this open until Christmas, we've had almost 2,000 responses so far so thank you to everyone that has completed it. If you haven't done it yet, it'll only take 2 or 3 minutes, so please give it a go and let us know what your experience of customer service with your energy supplier has been like.

Thanks everyone, I'll be posting again Thursday with the price cap announcement update.

Thanks again,

Richard Winstone
