Video explaining open letter response and discussing Ofgem CEO response to my letter calling for an investigation into the conflict of interest with an Ofgem director that existed for 22 months: https://youtu.be/Mj-xcPvdyus

Hi everyone,

Sorry, another late one! It's been a few weeks since we got involved with a consultation with Ofgem, but it looks like there will be a few in October for us to engage with. This first one is about the additional wholesale cost allowance, the video above explains everything but if you dont wan't to watch that then please head to the article to see where you need to send your email and to see the answers I gave to Ofgem. Also, please remember to CC in Support@over50smoney.com, it's good to know how many responses we're sending to Ofgem.

You can also download a PDF of my actual response if you just want to forward that on and say you agree with it, or disagree with it if you don't like my answers.

As a quick summary, Ofgem have told us the principles with which they'll be moving forward with the consultation and asked us a bunch of questions about those principles and their thought process, so I've given answers the best that I can which basically say that suppliers aren't really in a risky environment any more and we need more support so bring down the costs. That's a fair summary of what I said.

Also, I received a response from the CEO of Ofgem today to the letter I sent last month regarding the conflict of interest that existed for 22 months with a director of Ofgem and my call for an investigation in to whether this was a breach of the civil service code. This is all discussed in the video link above, if you only want to see that part of the video then please jump to 03:30 in the video, thats when I start talking about it.

Alright, thats it from me guys tonight, I'll be back with some more updates next week I think, have a few other bits I need to get done this week, so have a good weekend and thank you in advance to everyone that does get involved with the responses to Ofgem!

Thanks,

Richard Winstone
