Hi Everyone!
Firstly, thank you to all of those that have emailed your local MPs as per my last update, I've seen hundreds of emails come in over the last couple of days! I want to apologise for any typos (I believe there were 2) in the email I wrote out for everyone to copy. Also, if you've sent an email to your MP yet but are planning to, you should know that you need to include your full name and address at the bottom of the email otherwise your MP won't reply. Apologies for not stating that in the last update!
Now on to the main point of this update, Change.org have suggested we run an Urgent Virtual Lobby Day, which seems like an excellent idea to me! This is where we all actually call our local MPs during the same 2 hour window, so that's what I'm asking from everyone tomorrow!
If you are able to, please call your local MP at any time between 12:00 and 14:00 tomorrow, Thursday 17 November to raise awareness of this petition. Talk to them about this petition, about how energy suppliers are getting record level of profits, about how Ofgem agree with us that profits are too high right now but they're being slow to make any changes, about how VAT adds almost £200 per year to our bills, how headroom allowance is an absolute con, and about your personal situations and how getting these changes through are a great first step to mitigating the impact of our energy crisis!

Oh, and another update, I have a zoom call scheduled with my local MP on Friday afternoon to discuss this petition, which should hopefully prove useful. I'll keep you updated on how it goes.
