It has become obvious how the residents feel about fishing in "Walkers Lake" and the other lakes in Odessa. The Walker Family was a prominent black family who owned a hotel and many acres of property in Odessa Florida. After their demise the land was sold off, if not so stolen from the heirs and now it's like some of the white people who live there want to remain in the history of racism this is why this petition is so important and we must keep fighting.
