This petition is about introducing a educational class within Poudre School District to educate about disabilities. It would be able to teach students about different disabilities people may have and also how to engage with someone whom may be disabled. 

I, as a mother of a child who is disabled believe that children in school should take a class that teaches what a disability may look like, how to accept them, and how important it is for those kids to feel included and also prevent bullying, as that does occur in school. Not all children are fully educated at home about how act/treat someone who may be different physically or mentally.  

While bullying is a issue for all students, not just the Special Needs, there is a higher chance that the students who are different are at risk of experiencing being bullied. There needs to be educational information on how bully affects students and how to prevent it. 

This could benefit by cutting down school shootings, suicide, and other negative impacts someone may be experiencing. If we work together as team we can educate and teach our kids to be kind and accepting of everyone. 

So please I urge you to take the step and sign the petition to help educate our children on how to be accepting of ALL people regardless of their disability.
