and Open Space!Theft of the Boulder City Election?
Twin Lakes Owl Open Space
22 oct. 2017
Open Boulder, a developer funded, "Fake" community group, has been accused of trying to steal the Boulder City election.
Will out-of-state investors investors open the floodgate of development in Boulder?
Picture - SKYSCRAPERS in every neighborhood of Boulder.
Picture - BULLDOZERS roaring over open space designated areas like the proposed Twin Lakes Owl Preserve and the Meadowlark Open Space at CU South.
Picture - the Planning Reserve that surrounds Boulder BUILT OVER WITH APARTMENTS AND SKY RISES.
If Open Boulder backed candidates like Jill, Bill and Jan Burton - current council - are elected with dark money from developers - the future of Boulder could be dark indeed.
As a member of our our meetup who cares about Boulder and our open spaces we encourage you to:
1) Register to vote asap (up to or on Nov 7) - click here for Boulder County directions: https://www.bouldercounty.org/elections/register/
Encourage all of your friends in Boulder to vote because this is really important.
2) If you love open space and our small mountain town feel - please consider voting for:
Sam Weaver (current council)
Mary Young (current council)
John Gerstle (highly respected Planning Board Chair that was "removed" this spring by an extreme development faction on city council)
Mirabai Nagle
Cindy Carlisle
There are 5 open council seats.
We are hopeful these 5 open space friendly candidates will win.
Thank you for your help.
