The issue

Poverty is an issue that affects millions globally, including here in Australia, where families and individuals struggle to make ends meet each day. In Australia, there are currently 3.7 million people, which is about 14.2 percent, who live in poverty every day. This includes 757,000 children, meaning 1 in 6 Australian children who live below the poverty line.
These facts make it clear that urgent action is needed. With nearly 3.7 million Australians unable to afford basic necessities,  the case for change is undeniable.

Poverty can impact angle of a person's life, from access to education and healthcare to secure stable housing and food. Many people experiencing poverty face stress and uncertainty, which can have major effects on mental and physical health. Children growing up in poverty may not have the same opportunities as their peers and can fall behind in school, affecting their future prospects.

By dealing with poverty, it requires effort from governments, communities, and individuals. Some solutions could be making access to housing more affordable, paying for more education and job training , and raising awareness about the effects of poverty. By working together, we can create a society where everyone has the same opportunities and can all live an equal life.
