Help Create a Youth Leadership and Mental Health Program for Little Rock Students
The Issue
Title: Help Create a Youth Leadership and Mental Health Program for Little Rock Students
My name is Christian Meadough, and I am a student from Little Rock, Arkansas. I am starting this petition because I believe students deserve more chances to grow as leaders and have better support when it comes to mental health.
Being part of our community has shown me that there are many students with big goals, great ideas, and a lot of potential. Sometimes students just need more support, guidance, and opportunities to help them succeed.
As someone from the 72209 area, I know our community has students who care about their future and want to make a difference. I believe every part of Little Rock deserves programs that help students feel supported, confident, and ready to lead.
Mental health is important, but I also believe we should help students learn leadership skills, speak up about issues that matter, and be part of creating solutions.
This petition is asking the City of Little Rock and community leaders to create a Youth Leadership and Mental Wellness Program for students.
This program could help students by teaching leadership skills, connecting them with mental health resources, creating mentorship opportunities, and giving young people a chance to have their voices heard.
This will not fix every problem overnight, but it can be the first step toward something bigger. When young people are supported and given opportunities, they can become strong leaders in their schools and communities.
Young people should not only be called future leaders. We should be given opportunities to lead now.
I am asking students, parents, teachers, and community members to support this idea and show that the youth of Little Rock care about the future of our city.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and support a better future for our students.
Sincerely,
Christian Meadough
