Help Chad get his job back & bring light to the situation for future or current employees.
The Issue
Lockhart local young man Chad Gaddis worked at Walmart just shy of ten years, this special needs young man took great pride in his job and was honored to help what he called “his customers”. It is with great sadness and disbelief that he was terminated due to accidentally hitting a car with a cart in the parking lot. There are rules to be followed and that is understandable in regards to hiring and firing and yet there should also be heart and kindness in those decisions as well.
Walmart is a great company and has been advertising such hopeful messages during this pandemic time and now one of their most valued employees that has health issues himself and yet in ten years only missed work one day for being sick has not been shown grace by the company he so very much revered. Advertising messages should reflect actual store practices.
Chad called Walmart "his Career job" which gave him purpose and a sense of self worth, which is so important for any human being and just as much with special needs individuals. Chad’s job at Walmart gave him a purpose as he felt he was helping others and making a difference too. Chad has never met a stranger and loves his Lockhart customers and fellow coworkers dearly.By signing this petition you’re helping and supporting Chad in hopes of getting his job back and more importantly help make a change or difference for Walmart employees in future and those with special needs or without. What has been done and is continuing to be done today is completely wrong. Bringing light to this situation and wrongdoing is important!
Chad's family and friends thank you and appreciate all your support.
