Thanks for signing our petition and helping us show Advocate Health the way to the do the right thing.

Here's some of the media coverage we've attracted in our efforts to highlight Advocate Health's silence on Palestine, please share:

As a result of your efforts, we've had some wins:

• Advocate Health is starting to allow us to create safe spaces for discussion on Palestine.
• Advocate Health might be open to the idea of donating medical supplies to Gaza.
• We were allowed to host two Vigils for the victims of genocide after extensive engagement and pressure.

However, the organization has continued to fall short. Every 'win' we've had has required tremendous work and organizing. An internal statement by Advocate Health presented Israel as the victim, mistakenly portrayed the start of this conflict as Oct 7th, and made no mention of over 500 Palestinian healthcare workers killed by Israel.

The organization did perform a learning event called, 'Courageous Conversations', but again fell short, with no mention of the humanitarian impact on Gaza and they didn't even use the word 'Palestine' when asked. There has also been no public statement by Advocate Health which they initially committed to do.

We are not done. Advocate Team Members continue to experience silence, inaction, harassment, and gaslighting. That's why we will continue to push internally and protest. It shouldn't be this hard to do the right thing and they are treating Palestine differently than any other issue.
