The little girl in the picture is Hind Rajab. She was driving with her family to escape northern Gaza and reunite with her mother. She never made it. Her teenage sister was killed by the Israeli army while making a 911 call. When they called back, Hind picked up the phone. She was alone in the car with the bodies of her family members - all killed. Her last words to the 911 dispatcher was, "I'm scared, please come." EMS called and got clearance from the Israeli army to go and get Hind. You can see what became of them in the picture.
The veil of silence in the USA means that thousands of other children like Hind have been killed, or are starving to death from the Israeli siege. And according to the WHO, 627 HCWs have been killed in Gaza, and 47 ambulances have been targeted, often while carrying sick and wounded patients. The silence of our healthcare systems helps provide cover for an unfolding genocide.

We need your help to give Advocate Health the courage to do the right thing for Gaza, and for all of the Team Members and patients who are feeling the trauma of this conflict.
