According to https://ask.un.org/faq/14425 a “United Nations human rights complaint is a last resort. All local and National remedies must be exhausted.” During our 400+ year history in this nation African Americans have been deprived of our human rights by both overt and covert means that continue to persist to this day. We feel as though we have exhausted all options and now we believe this issue should be brought up to the United Nations’ General Assembly and the case for Reparations being given to the African American community be heard. Below is a preliminary list of possible solutions to systemic issues plaguing the African American Community today that we’d like to be presented at the United Nations’ 3rd Session of the Permanent Forum for People of African Descent to be held April 2024.

• Reparations in the form of a 5 year period of $160,000 given to each Black household annually. This number is drawn from the estimated total cost of Reparations owed to Black Americans collectively divided by the number of eligible people.
• Free Health Care for Black Households. We as Black Americans suffer from lack of quality health care as a result of economic, systemic, and racial injustices in the field of health care. Our community is in need of access to quality health care for not only our physical ailments but as well as our mental ailments that are all related to the aforementioned economic, systemic, and racial injustices in the United States of America.
• Black Americans deserve the ability to help determine the curriculum their children are taught.
• Release from prison and government facilitated societal reintegration programs for citizens of all races who have been incarcerated for non violent offenses.
• A universal basic income for all American citizens and a federal jobs guarantee to insure that no person is forced to be homeless or hungry in a nation of economic prosperity.

We believe that the people all across the world who have been a victim of white supremacy deserve Justice. Not Justice for sake of vengeance but for balance. We believe this petition will be the impetus of the major plan to topple white supremacy, capitalism, and the patriarchy once and for all destroying a great deal of strife we have in our world today and leading to a better tomorrow for us all.
