All Public Access to the Lihue-Koloa Forest Reserve has been closed off by DLNR, indefinitely!

Loop Road is closed just past the new bridge, allegedly for road work due to damage from the April, 2018 rain storm and recent windstorms, mainly past the Jurassic Park Gate. Even though the damage was a year and a half ago, this important recreational forest was shut off overnight, without notice. Sure hope folks werenʻt camped, waiting for future pickup.

If this closure affects your hunting or cultural  access, please let DLNR Forest Manager Sheri Mann know at 808-241-3770 or sheri.s.mann@hawaii.gov.
