Leaks have been going around in the past year about Star Fox Assault being in for a HD Remaster for the Switch 1, which would be the way to go as no way should the system have nothing at all from Star Fox, and it would be a good way to fill the gap leading up to a new Star Fox game said to be in development as we speak:

Sadly there's been no official announcement to this day, but even though the Switch's successor known as the Switch 2 has launched to the point of it's predecessor now being known as the Switch 1, it still should have a re-release of Star Fox Assault so there won't be nothing at all from Star Fox on the system, we already had a re-release of Star Fox after all, but it is surprising that Star Fox Zero wasn't amongst the Wii U games to have Switch 1 ports. There's even leaks on there being a new Star Fox game in the works, which could've been reworked for the Switch 2 due to what could come with it's sales for releasing late in the Switch 1's life span, seeing as it's possibly even being made to intentionally be the last Star Fox game ever if it doesn't reach a certain amount of sales. However it turns out meanwhile I'm hoping can be what introduces Krystal and Panther to the Star Fox Zero continuity to the point of even being a reimagining of both Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault:
