In 2024, Hasbro released a set of six figures for their "Marvel Legends" toyline based on the 12-issue comic book series "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars".  The "Secret Wars" toyline was released in honor of the comic series' 40th anniversary and originally had three waves of action figures released by Mattel in 1984.  In 2024, Hasbro's "Secret Wars" 40th anniversary wave consisted of six new toys for the Beyonder, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man in his alien costume, Titania, and Wolverine, respectively.  The first set of figures was so successful for Hasbro that a sold-separately figure for Iceman went up for sale in 2025 and a second wave of figures will be released in 2026.  The second wave consists of six new toys for the Absorbing Man, Constrictor, Daredevil, the Falcon, Magik and Spider-Man in mid-transformation into his alien costume, respectively.

However, one character that fans were hoping Hasbro would make into a new figure is a new classic figure of The Mighty Thor.  Introduced in August 1962, The Mighty Thor is a founding member of the team The Avengers and is one of Marvel's most iconic heroes from the Silver Age of the comics.  While Thor was not in the original "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars" toyline from Mattel in 1984, a 3 and 3/4 inch tall figure of Thor was included in a two-pack with the Enchantress by Hasbro for the 25th anniversary of "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars" in 2009.  However, Thor has not had a new figure made in his classic comic book costume since the "Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary" figures in 2019 and fans would love a second chance to get a new classic Thor figure for their collections.  Fans hope that the next Thor figure will have a new updated body mold, new alternate heads (such as a calm head sculpt and an alternate angry head sculpt), open hands, alternate fist hands, and new accessories, such as an accessory of his hammer Mjolnir and an accessory of Mjolnir spinning like the Ragnarok figure had.

We, the fans, hope that Hasbro decides to make a new "Marvel Legends Series Secret Wars" figure of Thor for either a possible third wave of "Marvel Legends Series Secret Wars" figures or as a sold-separately figure like Iceman was for fans and collectors to buy.  It would be a great way for old collectors to have a second chance at buying a new figure of Thor in his classic costume and for new collectors to add a new classic Thor figure to their collection.
