Dear all,
Harrow council's low traffic neighbourhood consultations are now live (deadline 21 March)!
Respond here - choose 'Strongly Agree'!: www.harrow.gov.uk/ltn
The revised proposals replace the planters with automatic numberplate recognition cameras. Local residents and businesses as well as council services and emergency vehicles will have access through the LTN, in an attempt by the council to gain the support of residents.
These schemes will be less effective at discouraging care use than the original plan, but will still prevent the areas from being used by through traffic and therefore should improve road safety.
If you want the planters (physical barriers) restored, say this in the comments.
The council hinted that the decision to go ahead will depend roughly on the balance of numbers for and against, with most weight being given to people living in the area.
So please respond and encourage your friends, family and neighbours to do so!
