I note this is down for consideration at the next TARSAP meeting. It’s also very timely given the impact we’ve all felt of the lower traffic in the past few weeks.

This work is particularly timely with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The capacity of public transport will be severely restricted if people need to maintain safe physical distance, which means that a major increase in walking and cycling will be the only way to restore economic activity in London post lockdown. Other boroughs have already committed to rapidly creating temporary space for walking and cycling.
