Some random Harrison alumnus who doesn't even live in our state anymore wants our school to change its name because of recent events, and the the recent push to erase anything deemed racist historically. Sign this petition if you think it is ridiculous and frankly overstepping her bounds. Harrison's name and mascot are rooted in American history and shouldn't ever need to be adjusted or erased. Our school has never supported racism or pushed for any kind of slavery motto or anything. Trying to erase history solves nothing, and helps no one. It will only help make it easier to repeat our past mistakes.
