Halt the Unlawful HMO Development at 49 Northfield Rd, New Moston

The Issue

The unauthorised development at 49 Northfield Rd, New Moston is a project is for an HMO for ex-prison inmates and is being developed regardless of the clear local council guidelines that no such HMOs are permitted in the area.

Our community does not want this illegal operation and for significant reasons. Aside from it flouting council guidelines, it undermines the rehabilitation process of ex-prison inmates by creating clustered environments which research shows can complicate their reintegration into society (source: British Prison Reform Trust).

New Moston deserves better. We must halt this operation that not only disregards town planning guidelines but also highlights larger issues of societal rehabilitation and public health concerns. Converting the house back to its original state will restore peace in the neighborhood and uphold the council’s guide on HMOs.

Stand with us. Demand the halt on this unlawful HMO development. Add your voice to ours—it's time to sign this petition.
