Toomaj Salehi, a 33-year-old Iranian rapper, has been condemned to execution by the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan on unfounded charges of 'spreading corruption on earth.' This verdict is solely based on his musical compositions and his courageous efforts to shed light on injustices perpetrated by the Islamic Regime in Iran. His music has been particularly influential in the aftermath of the Woman Life Freedom Movement. Since December 2023, Toomaj has faced repeated arbitrary detentions and prolonged unjust imprisonment, enduring 252 days in solitary confinement and suffering torture at the hands of the Islamic Regime throughout this ordeal.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights unequivocally declares that everyone possesses the right to freedom of expression (Article 19). This encompasses artistic expression, such as Toomaj's music, which serves as a vehicle for social commentary and advocacy for positive change.

The international community cannot remain indifferent to such flagrant violations of human rights. We implore global leaders, human rights organizations, and individuals worldwide to raise their voices against this egregious injustice and demand an immediate halt to Toomaj's execution. We demand his immediate, unconditional, and absolute freedom.
