Hello GTNA, You may have heard on the news that 16 City-County Councilors have publicly said they oppose the Franklin Township data center. We need 15 to defeat the zoning petitions, so this is good news – but we’re not done yet! Google and their attorneys will continue to fight and pull shenanigans right up to the vote on Sept 22, so it is critical that we remain active and vigilant! Here’s how you can help: 1. The hearing dates are unchanged – we need as many people as possible to attend both hearings (preferable 100s of people!), so please plan to attend and bring all your friends: a. Monday 9/8/25 – rally at 6PM, hearing at 7PM. Meet at 6PM outside the north side of the City County building (the Market Street side). Look for the “No Data Center” signs. We’ll protest together until it’s time to go in for the hearing. b. Monday 9/22/25 – hearing at 7PM. This is the actual vote on the two zoning petitions that Google has put forward. If you can only come to one of the hearings, come to this one. We really need to “pack the house”. 2. Below is a list of the 9 Councilors who have not publicly announced their position on the data center. Please e-mail them (short, sweet and to the point – long messages and form letters are not as effective) – who you are, where you live, why you oppose the data center.
