I am a resident of Mississauga, ON, and like many others in our community, I am deeply concerned about the ongoing privatization of our health care system. The current administration under Doug Ford is leading us down a path that threatens to compromise the quality and accessibility of health care for all Ontarians.

In 2019, the Ontario Health Coalition reported that privatization would lead to longer wait times and higher costs for patients. This is not what we want or need. Our health care should be about people, not profits.

We must remember that universal access to health care is a fundamental value we hold as Canadians. It's time we stand up against these changes that could potentially harm those who are most vulnerable among us - our seniors, low-income families and individuals with chronic illnesses.

Let's demand transparency from our government officials and insist on policies that protect public interest over private gain. We deserve a healthcare system where everyone has equal access regardless of their income or status.
