Halt the Installation of Pickleball Courts on Court 1 in Glen Abbey Neighborhood

Halt the Installation of Pickleball Courts on Court 1 in Glen Abbey Neighborhood
The Issue
Please sign below to halt the proposed addition of four pickleball courts on Court 1.
Pickleball creates noise that is extremely loud, disrupting surrounding areas and homes, all day, every day
It lowers the value of surrounding homes, often making them unsellable, lowering the value of comps for the whole neighborhood
Glen Abbey’s decision to move forward is based on a flawed noise study - don’t believe us? - read the analysis on our website: www.glenabbeypickleball.com
The HOA board is already planning to move forward without using the recommended layouts for noise reduction outlined in the study. The noise from the new layouts has not been studied
According to its own study, it will drive noise at the clubhouse and pool well beyond acceptable noise ordinance levels all day, every day, affecting enjoyment of those amenities
The change will impact the quality of life of nearby homeowners, several just yards away from the court. Even with noise abatement efforts two homes will experience sound levels beyond those deemed appropriate by the Board’s own expert
The conversion of these courts will be extremely costly
The surrounding area has plentiful free public pickleball options for residents
