Long time no hear, I hear you all say. Yes we are still here and still fighting to save endangered habitat and species. Nothing has changed. The Manyana site remains as is with the axe still hanging over her head. But due to your concerns and actions the endangered species that rely on that habitat still have a home. For now. More on that in an upcoming post.

The reason we are still fighting is because our environmental laws are weak. As you know Australia has a terrible record with regard to extinctions and its getting worse. Laws don't change unless we act to change them.

My friend and the founder of the Manyana Matters Environmental Association, Jorj Lowrey has just launched a petition demanding our politicians take a stronger stand on environmental protection laws. I couldn't agree more. The fact is, our current government has set about weakening the already pathetic laws we have and now the Morrison Government plans to spend $62M, not to protect the environment, but to make it even easier for developments and mines to obliterate our natural environment! An independant review was conducted in 2021 which recommended an overhaul of Australia's environmental laws and this is what Jorj is fighting for. Will you help by signing and sharing her petition today?

As always, thankyou for the change your making.
