Petition updateHalt the Extinction of the Greater GliderShoalhaven “Independent” Councillors want the bulldozers to roll over endangered forest.

As you know Council Elections are coming up and there has been a stream of misleading information from these Shoalhaven Councillors calling themselves "The Independents” (a registered political party) who have consistently fought against our campaign to protect this forest and the endangered species living there.

They continue to be a major block, stopping the State government negotiating to buy this land for our National Park.

These people currently hold a majority on Shoalhaven Council and have have a record of blocking support for the environment and voting for development at any cost.

The makeup of the next Shoalhaven City Council will have a significant impact on our fight to protect the unburnt forest in Manyana. We need to vote these so called "Independents" out and start protecting the future for ourselves and coming generations. They have made a stand against what you and I hold to be important and necessary. Our environment. It’s time for us to make a stand as well.

A vote for LABOR or the GREENS is a vote to protect what we all love about the Shoalhaven. I would also add that we need a Mayor who understands this as well. Mayor, Amanda Findley has recently been awarded “Climate Ambassador of the year for her hard work and passion for increasing renewable energy and community resilience. #climateawards 2021. Good on you Amanda!

Best wishes to all our friends, together we are making a difference. But we need to keep up the pressure on our politicians. Let’s do the work now to protect all our futures. Pre-polls open Monday 22/11/21.

I am not a member of any political party.

Keep up the fight.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Best regards Bill Eger.
