Halt the Development of Robert's Bank Terminal 2

Halt the Development of Robert's Bank Terminal 2
The Issue
As a deeply concerned resident of Vancouver, BC, Canada, I am personally invested in the rights of Indigenous communities, the protection of endangered species and preventing increased pollution. The proposed development of Robert's Bank Terminal 2 poses a significant threat to these values that I hold dear.
The project threatens to infringe upon Indigenous rights and territories. It also risks disrupting the habitats of various endangered species in our region. Moreover, it is projected to significantly increase pollution levels in our area.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), this project could cause 'significant adverse environmental effects' on Chinook salmon and Southern Resident killer whales - both already critically endangered species (ECCC Impact Assessment Report). Furthermore, an increase in shipping traffic due to this terminal could lead to higher air pollution levels which would affect not only our environment but also public health.
In light of these potential impacts, we must act now. It is crucial that we prioritize sustainable development over short-term economic gains. We urge relevant authorities to reconsider this project for the sake of Indigenous rights, environmental conservation and public health.
Please join me in calling for a halt on the development of Robert's Bank Terminal 2 by signing this petition today.
