Hello Everyone, 

  I just want to encourage everyone to keep spreading the word, share the petition, write to our mayor, council member Marni Von Wilpert, Congressman Scott Peters and voice your opposition to this project. It is an upcoming election year our voices and concerns matter but we need to do it en masse to make an impact. Contact the HOA, they have yet to answer any of my questions but were quick to let me know I had to stop posting the petion flyers in common areas. I know they are moving the dirt and have seen the progress but they haven’t laid any concrete, put down any foundation or anything yet so be encouraged and even more inspired to make an impact. 

 I can not do this on my own, it is going to take all of us to stop this. Signing this petition is just a start this is going to take some grass roots, boots on the ground, coming out of your comfort zone type of action from all of us. It takes but a few minutes to send a few emails. Think about your reasons as to being opposed to this, remember our kids classrooms have the highest teacher to student ratio around. We just increased this year from a 1 to 21 teacher to student ratio to a 1 to 26 teacher to student ratio. This will surely only increase again to accommodate more students! There is a waitlist in both elementary schools (Design and Del Sur) and the after-school program. There are already 2 modular trailers at Del Sur serving as classrooms. Should our kids and teachers be expected to teach and learn in a modular unit? The builder site talks about how the residents of this project "will have access to the abundant amenities that Del Sur has to offer", what amenities are they referring to? The pools, and events or the parks? These are questions I am trying to have answered but need your help.

 There have been 5,749 views of this petition imagine if just half of those people signed where we would be. That is why I am asking all of you to continue to talk about the impacts this will have. It is not about not wanting a certain demographic in our community as some on Facebook would like to believe, they clearly haven’t read the petition.  If we have any chance of stopping this it is now and it is action.
