We, the residents of Benton County, Arkansas, live next to the proposed sites for two lithium ion battery storage facilities. This situation is not only personal but also poses a significant risk to our lives and those of our neighbors. A failure at these facilities could lead to catastrophic consequences. Lithium-ion batteries are known for their volatility and potential for explosive failures if not properly managed (source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission). 

Moreover, these facilities disrupt our peace with their noise pollution and mar the natural beauty of our county with their industrial appearance. They also have a negative impact on property values in the area due to their perceived risks and aesthetic drawbacks.

We urge you to consider the safety and well-being of Benton County's residents over corporate interests. We ask that you halt any further plans for constructing lithium ion battery storage facilities in our county until thorough safety assessments can be conducted by independent experts.
